Familiar faces in a bookshop
Had a quick lunch, had ice-cream at Andersen's cafe and it's off to Times for browsing during lunch time just now... as i've heard that he is featured in one of the lifestyle magazines this month, i was flipping thru some of those mags..1st familiar face: is moo's brother-in-law, JK, in a mag called 'Pulses' which is on capital mkts... that was a total surprise.. he was being interviewed with a few other young generation bosses eg. dennis foo.. topic of dicussion is being a young boss, their leadership style and how tough is it...
so excited i quickly called moo to tell him.. he wasnt surprised cos his parents already knew about it.. it's not the 1st time he is being interviewed.. he's such a humble, modest and funny guy and seeing him in there is a bit weird since i also know him personally and he doesnt come across as such a dynamic person, certainly not someone who will be interviewed in such a serious mag.. guess it's a little bit intimidating too cos the sister is married to such a high-flyer and on the other hand, i'm nobody..
2nd familiar face: is yadan in 'Prestige'! ex-coll here for euro team.. is an ad. of him modelling a shirt for the shop of his ex-team-member, D. grossed out! cos he was so heavily air-brushed.. already knew that the tummy he acquired (due to last minute asian food gorging) before he went back to swiss is going to disappear.. didnt expect that in the meantime, the photographer also rounded his face, flatten his hair, smoothen out his tan and generally shaved a few years off.. now he's looks like an 18 yr old trying to look mature rather than 28 yrs old.. SS couldnt believe it was him..
sad to say, think this is probably quite a cheap ad cos he spent all the money paying the mag to feature it.. doesnt look gd at all.. real person is more hunkalicious!!
