Got facai a bit from my parents' angbao. papa, as usual, was quite generous as he can get.

Eve, we had steamboat as our customs. chu-yi was at home didnt get out much. chu-er to si, went to grandma's place hehe. told my uncle couple of times to wait for me to get there before setting off the fireworks. better than spending it in sgp. 80% of my relatives are spread around in m'cca, so obviously, angbao lugi a bit lah..

the 4 days there were totally hot and boring though in the day. nothing much to do, bought a book there but finished it in 2days. my youngest uncles had a number of dvds, so we sat and watched a few...

oh, but the fireworks at night!! my uncle must have spent hundreds of $$ on them. said he bribed the police so that he could let them go for the fist 2 days... when the neighbours set off some, he would compete and blew off ours... haha!!! better than having to travel to esplanade or chinatown to catch it... dont have to brave the crowd and rub shoulders with strangers..

on our last night there was best!! a neighbour about 1 km away was blowing off all night.. every time i thought they have finished, i would go back into the house, only to come out again hearing the 'boom boom' noises... went on for 1 hr!! my mum dragged out a chair to house's driveway to sit and watch. we speculated could be he is the illegal importer of the fireworks, and just using all his unsolds...

sigh, was quite great leh. just thought maybe next yr, i'll go in with moo.. so that can share with him.. going with my mum not as fun, cos she still talks to all other relatives like i'm some kid who doesnt know everything, even when i'm there.. and a couple of them was kind of pitying me, for not being married, and rather moo was making me wait..

but hello, told them i wanted to wait and have more fun before settling down.. and being single is not a FAILURe!!

hrumph! naf, should not let them spoil my thoughts...
