war of the cakes
ec, ss and i have been quite excited the whole week.. cos on tues, after trying for 2 weeks, we finally managed to get thru to order lana cakes.. admittedly, we went a little crazy and between the 3 of us, we ordered 5 altogther.. although i'm not sure for the extra mine, who to give it to.. i do have some idea, cos i know someone has a craving for it, like me.. ;)
anyway, before we manage to order, i have to satisfy my craving with other brand lah.. like awfully chocolate for example.. there's an outlet at katong mall.. it also makes and sells their own chocolate ice-cream.. unlike other brands which comes in a cup or cone, they put it in a little box for consumption... quite yummy and as rich as the cake.. there is one at raffles place too, so thinking of going there with the colleague to get it someday as tea-break for the team..
whilst i was trying awfully chocolate, i couldnt decide whether lana is better, or this brand is better.. the verdict: maybe standard may have dropped due to popular demand, but do think that both brands are comparable.. maybe lana is just less sweet than awfully, but both are equally rich in fudge.. didnt quite meet up with my anticipation, cos i remembered lana as tasting far better than what i tried just now..
oh well....
